Design Fair Madrid

Its aim is to stimulate and energize the design market by creating a space where the key players in this discipline can build international connections. Central to this goal, the fair offers a unique design experience, highlighting the value of design as a collectible.

Positioned between the contemporary and the functional, collectible design brings together limited editions or unique pieces conceived not only for practical use but also for aesthetic enjoyment. It transcends the idea of product, incorporating special materials and techniques to become a field of experimentation with its own narrative.

FORMA Design Fair Madrid will bring together around thirty national and international proposals showcasing a curated selection of signature pieces, including new releases and limited editions. Directed by Álvaro Matías, FORMA focuses on design professionals and features exhibitions from galleries, studios, design publishers, specialized shops, and designers. All of them share the common goal of creating works that make design a cross-cutting discipline, accessible to both visitors and collectors in a direct and experiential way.

Per(FORMA)

In line with these principles, the fair will present Per(FORMA), a program that puts design into motion. Led by designers and forming part of the fair’s parallel activities, this initiative pushes the discipline beyond its traditional role to structure creative and conceptual processes, generating dynamic spaces that encourage interaction, dialogue, and collective reflection.

FORMA thus enables collectors and visitors to access proposals that anticipate the future of design, its connection with society, and its relevance in the international market.

This new initiative is launched under the umbrella of Madrid Design Festival —organized by La Fábrica— and Madrid City Council, with the support of Matadero Madrid, one of the city’s cultural spaces, and DIMAD, the institution managing the Central de Diseño. The fair has a clear goal: to create an economic ecosystem that benefits all actors in the city’s and country’s creative fabric, while also positioning them as a key reference in the international design market.
