Mosaista abre las puertas de su Taller de baldosas hidráulicas en Arganda del Rey para presentar la colaboración TiendaThyssen x Mosaista.
Desde 2002, Mosaista diseña y produce baldosas hidráulicas selectas con materiales de proximidad, en su taller en la Comunidad de Madrid.
La empresa ha rescatado y renovado un tipo de baldosa histórica que pavimentó casas y palacios del Mediterráneo, fusionando artesanía y modernidad, sin olvidar los diseños clásicos de arquitectos modernistas como Gaudí.
En esta colaboración con la colección Thyssen-Bornemisza, Mosaista / Iván Alvarado junto a la artista Carlota Pereira reinterpretan obras de BORTNYIK, PAUL KLEE, JUAN GRIS, VAN DOESBURG, HOPPER y KANDINSKI, con la técnica artesanal de la baldosa hidráulica, transformándolas en murales y objetos únicos.
Durante la jornada de puertas abiertas, se presentarán las baldosas creadas en esta colaboración entre Mosaista y el Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza.

Mosaista opens the doors of its hydraulic tile workshop in Arganda del Rey to present the collaboration TiendaThyssen x Mosaista.
Since 2002, Mosaista has designed and produced select hydraulic tiles using locally sourced materials at its workshop in the Community of Madrid. The company has revived and renewed a historic type of tile that once paved Mediterranean homes and palaces, blending craftsmanship and modernity while honoring the classic designs of Modernist architects such as Gaudí.
In this collaboration with the Thyssen-Bornemisza collection, Mosaista / Iván Alvarado, together with artist Carlota Pereira, reinterpret works by Bortnyik, Paul Klee, Juan Gris, Van Doesburg, Hopper, and Kandinsky using the traditional hydraulic tile technique, transforming them into unique murals and objects.
