En el marco del Madrid Design Festival, Actiu propone una charla que invita a reflexionar sobre el papel de la arquitectura contemporánea como nexo entre tradición y futuro, entre el legado construido y las nuevas formas de crear, proyectar, habitar y trabajar.
La sesión contará con la participación de Hugo Berenguer, CEO y socio de Rafael de La-Hoz Arquitectos, quien compartirá la visión del estudio a través de algunos de sus proyectos más representativos. Desde una práctica profundamente arraigada en la cultura arquitectónica española, el estudio ha sabido evolucionar incorporando innovación, sostenibilidad y nuevas metodologías, sin perder de vista la importancia del contexto, la materialidad y el tiempo.
A lo largo de la charla, se abordará cómo la arquitectura y los espacios pueden actuar como un lenguaje capaz de conectar generaciones: respetando la memoria y el legado, pero respondiendo a los retos actuales de la vida contemporánea. Se hablará de procesos creativos, de la relación entre espacios y sociedad, y del equilibrio necesario entre experiencia, conocimiento acumulado y nuevas miradas.
La conversación se completa con la presentación del proyecto Lagasca 99, desarrollado por Actiu en colaboración con el arquitecto Roberto García, un espacio concebido, entre otros, como punto de encuentro para profesionales del diseño y la arquitectura a nivel internacional. Este proyecto ejemplifica cómo el diseño de espacios puede integrar identidad, innovación y bienestar, creando entornos que favorecen la colaboración, la creatividad y la conexión entre personas.
Más que una conferencia, esta actividad se plantea como un espacio de reflexión compartida, dirigido a arquitectos, diseñadores y profesionales interesados en comprender cómo la arquitectura puede seguir siendo relevante en un contexto de cambio constante. Una oportunidad para explorar cómo construir hoy espacios con sentido, capaces de dialogar con su historia y, al mismo tiempo, proyectarse hacia el futuro.

CEO y socio de Rafael de La-Hoz Arquitectos, estudio de referencia en la arquitectura española contemporánea. Su trabajo se centra en el desarrollo estratégico del estudio y en la dirección de proyectos complejos de arquitectura, con un enfoque que combina rigor, innovación y respeto por el legado arquitectónico. Within the framework of Madrid Design Festival, Actiu presents a talk that invites reflection on the role of contemporary architecture as a link between tradition and the future, between the built legacy and new ways of creating, designing, inhabiting, and working.
The session will feature Hugo Berenguer, CEO and partner at Rafael de La-Hoz Arquitectos, who will share the studio’s vision through some of its most representative projects. Rooted in a practice deeply connected to Spanish architectural culture, the studio has successfully evolved by incorporating innovation, sustainability, and new methodologies, while maintaining a strong focus on the importance of context, materiality, and time.
Throughout the talk, the discussion will explore how architecture and spaces can act as a language capable of connecting generations: respecting memory and legacy, while responding to the current challenges of contemporary life.
