El diseño no solo se mira; también se escucha. En el marco de FORMA Design Fair, la Central de Diseño de DIMAD se transforma en un escenario acústico para recibir a Lucas Muñoz Muñoz. El jueves 5 de marzo, el diseñador madrileño activará en directo su última investigación: los módulos S.S.S. VIII (Sound System Series VIII).
Tras su reciente éxito en Alcova Milano 2025, estas piezas regresan a Madrid para demostrar cómo el diseño de objeto, la ingeniería técnica y la experimentación sonora pueden converger en una experiencia inmersiva.
Los módulos S.S.S. VIII son el resultado de un proceso de fabricación artesanal llevado a cabo íntegramente en el estudio de Lucas Muñoz en Madrid. El proyecto destaca por una combinación matérica singular: madera de álamo, aluminio y cerámica impresa en 3D.
En estas piezas, el trabajo va más allá de la estética. Lucas Muñoz ha integrado el desarrollo técnico del amplificador dentro del propio diseño, creando un sistema que responde tanto a las necesidades de la escucha doméstica como a entornos semiprofesionales.
Durante FORMA, los altavoces se activarán en una sesión especial con un Dj Set de Lucas Muñoz Muñoz, convirtiendo el espacio en un ecosistema donde la forma física del objeto se entrelaza con la investigación acústica.
Design is not only seen; it is also heard. Within the framework of FORMA Design Fair, DIMAD’s Central de Diseño transforms into an acoustic stage to host Lucas Muñoz Muñoz. On Thursday, March 5th, the Madrid-based designer will live-activate his latest research: the S.S.S. VIII (Sound System Series VIII) modules.
Following their recent success at Alcova Milano 2025, these pieces return to Madrid to demonstrate how object design, technical engineering, and sonic experimentation can converge into an immersive experience.
The S.S.S. VIII modules are the result of an artisanal manufacturing process carried out entirely at Lucas Muñoz’s studio in Madrid. The project stands out for its unique material combination: poplar wood, aluminum, and 3D-printed ceramic.
In these pieces, the work goes beyond aesthetics. Lucas Muñoz has integrated the technical development of the amplifier within the design itself, creating a system that meets the needs of both domestic listening and semi-professional environments.
During FORMA, the speakers will be activated in a special session featuring a DJ Set by Lucas Muñoz Muñoz, transforming the space into an ecosystem where the physical form of the object intertwines with acoustic research.
