This roundtable proposes a dialogue between textile designer Charlotte Houman, multidisciplinary artist Koral Antolín, and wool project promoter Concha Salguero, focusing on the cultural, environmental, and creative value of wool and the territories where it originates. From the revival of traditional agricultural practices and transhumant grazing as drivers of sustainability to the revaluation of wool and its aesthetic potential, the discussion will explore how this textile material becomes a bridge between landscape, community, and contemporary creation.

The speakers will share their perspectives, from rural innovation and communal management to ethical textile design and artistic experimentation, showing how wool can generate new narratives, crafts, and connections between art, territory, and biodiversity.

Koral Antolín – Multidisciplinary Artist
Works with wool and other fibers to create pieces that combine tradition and experimentation. She has developed large-scale hospitality projects and performs live events that bring her textile language to the public.

Concha Salguero Herrera – International Projects Specialist, Asociación Laneras
Coordinates wool and sustainability projects, serves as president of Landcare Europe, and is the author of publications and documentaries on wool and its valorization. She participates in international conferences on grazing, transhumance, and wool.

Charlotte Houman – Textile Designer
Revalues Merino wool from Extremadura through her sustainable brand, creating locally made, traceable garments and home textiles, supporting transhumant livestock farming, and promoting the Spanish textile industry.
