The MINIM Madrid space, a reference in contemporary furniture and lighting in the capital, hosts an experience that presents material as a language, intertwining memory, craftsmanship, and experimentation. The installation allows visitors to explore a visual and tactile journey, where each surface and object narrates the transformation of matter through fire and artisanal mastery.
The project is developed by Zanellato/Bortotto, featuring Moroso’s Mangiafuoco and Clay collections, with the collaboration of two Italian artisanal workshops: Incalmi for Mangiafuoco and Botteganove for Clay.
Mangiafuoco emerges from a dialogue with Incalmi, a Venetian workshop combining traditional craftsmanship with contemporary innovation. Using the ancient technique of fire enamel on copper, each piece transforms into a vitrified surface that reveals unique shades and reflections after firing, creating one-of-a-kind objects.
Clay, created with Botteganove, celebrates contemporary ceramics and the ceramic tradition of Nove (Vicenza). The collection experiments with glazes, reliefs, and textures, merging noble materials, craftsmanship, and detail to turn ceramics into a contemporary language of materiality and aesthetic sensitivity.
“Play With Fire” becomes a material ritual: a homage to Italian craftsmanship revisited through a contemporary and poetic lens. The installation goes beyond displaying objects, offering a journey through metal and ceramics that reflects on the uniqueness of each piece and the emotional value of materials.
Design professionals, enthusiasts, and the general public are invited to immerse themselves in this multisensory experience, where every surface tells a story of fire, creation, and transformation.
