Del 5 al 8 de marzo, Madrid Design Festival celebrará la primera edición de FORMA Design Fair Madrid, la nueva feria de diseño contemporáneo concebida para convertirse en un punto de encuentro de
referencia para el ecosistema profesional. El proyecto, impulsado por el festival y por el Área de Cultura, Turismo y Deporte del Ayuntamiento de Madrid, nace con la vocación de fortalecer el mercado del diseño y de situar a Madrid en el mapa internacional de las ferias especializadas.

FORMA se desarrollará en la Nave Una y la Central de Diseño de DIMAD, en Matadero Madrid, y reunirá a marcas consolidadas, estudios emergentes, galerías, editoras, artesanos contemporáneos y agentes clave de sectores como mobiliario, iluminación, objeto, tecnología aplicada al diseño y nuevos materiales. Planteada como un nodo complementario al festival, la feria propone un recorrido transversal por la actualidad del diseño a través de piezas únicas, ediciones limitadas y proyectos que exploran nuevas estéticas y procesos.

La feria combina el enfoque expositivo con un programa profesional (PER-FORMA) que incluirá conversaciones, demostraciones, encuentros y actividades formativas. Su objetivo es activar la transmisión de conocimiento, fomentar el intercambio entre agentes del sector y generar nuevas oportunidades de colaboración y desarrollo.

Esta nueva iniciativa nace al abrigo de Madrid Design Festival –organizado por La Fábrica– y el Ayuntamiento de Madrid, con la colaboración de uno de los espacios culturales del propio Ayuntamiento, Matadero Madrid y de DIMAD, institución que gestiona la Central de Diseño. La feria cuenta con el claro propósito de generar un ecosistema económico que repercuta en todos los agentes del tejido creativo de la ciudad y de nuestro país, a la vez que los posiciona como un punto de referencia imprescindible en la escena del mercado internacional.

From March 5 to 8, Madrid Design Festival will host the first edition of FORMA Design Fair Madrid, a new contemporary design fair designed to become a leading meeting point for the professional ecosystem. Driven by the festival and the Madrid City Council’s Department of Culture, Tourism, and Sport, the project was created with the mission of strengthening the design market and placing Madrid on the international map of specialized trade fairs.

FORMA will be held at Nave Una and the Central de Diseño de DIMAD, within Matadero Madrid. It will bring together established brands, emerging studios, galleries, design editors, contemporary artisans, and key players from sectors such as furniture, lighting, objects, technology applied to design, and new materials. Conceived as a complementary hub to the festival, the fair offers a cross-sectional look at contemporary design through unique pieces, limited editions, and projects exploring new aesthetics and processes.

The fair combines an exhibition-focused approach with a professional program (PER-FORMA) that will feature talks, demonstrations, meetups, and educational activities. Its goal is to activate knowledge transfer, foster exchange between industry stakeholders, and create new opportunities for collaboration and development.

This new initiative is born under the umbrella of Madrid Design Festival—organized by La Fábrica—and the Madrid City Council, with the collaboration of Matadero Madrid and DIMAD, the institution managing the Central de Diseño. The fair aims to generate an economic ecosystem that benefits all members of the city’s and the country’s creative fabric, positioning them as an essential reference point in the international market.
