MAYICE
En Mayice, los materiales tienen alma. La creación de objetos y espacios se lleva a cabo mediante el uso de oficios locales y tecnología. A través del análisis de problemas y necesidades, ofrecen soluciones estéticas y funcionales, cuidando siempre los materiales, su historia y sus procesos. Trabajan de manera global con sus clientes, siempre desde una lógica de colaboración y diálogo compartido.
Mayice fue fundado en 2014 en Madrid por Marta Alonso Yebra e Imanol Calderón Elósegui, ambos arquitectos y apasionados del diseño.
En 2015, Mayice recibió el Premio al Mejor Joven Diseñador Español, otorgado por Elle Decor, y obtuvo además una mención honorífica en los Architizer Awards.
Tres años más tarde, fue galardonado en los Filamento Born Awards España, así como en los Filamento Awards al Mejor Producto IED Madrid 2018, y fue seleccionado en la shortlist de los Dezeen Awards.
En 2021, Dune, para LZF Lamps, fue premiado por NYCxDesign en la categoría de luminarias colgantes y Best of the Year de Interior Design Magazine.
En 2020, durante Madrid Design Festival, Mayice presentó Electric Green, una instalación lumínica en la calle para MINI Electric, en el jardín vertical de CaixaForum, que reflexionaba sobre la importancia de reducir las emisiones de CO₂.
En Casa Decor 2019, Mayice diseñó y produjo una instalación para SIMON Electric, empresa española con más de cien años de trayectoria, recibiendo una Mención Especial al Mejor Interiorismo Efímero. En 2020, creó un proyecto de interiorismo para Niessen ABB, que obtuvo el Segundo Premio al Mejor Interiorismo Efímero.
En 2019, Mayice recibió el Premio BUIT para Gandía Blasco, otorgado por Archiproducts en Milán y NYCxDesign / Interior Design Magazine.
Desde 2017, los diseños de Mayice se exhiben en Rossana Orlandi Spazio, en Milán.
El trabajo de Mayice ha estado presente en Milan Design Week, New York Design Week (ICFF, Sight Unseen Offsite y Wanted Design), Madrid Design Festival y London Design Festival.
Desde 2018, Mayice trabaja en una colección contemporánea para HSIU y el Suzhou Embroidery Museum, cuya presentación internacional tuvo lugar en 2022.
At Mayice, materials have a soul. The creation of objects and spaces is carried out through the use of local crafts and technology. By analyzing challenges and needs, they offer aesthetic and functional solutions, always taking care of materials, their history, and their processes. They work globally with their clients, guided by a collaborative approach and shared dialogue.
Mayice was founded in Madrid in 2014 by Marta Alonso Yebra and Imanol Calderón Elósegui, both architects and design enthusiasts.
In 2015, Mayice received the Best Young Spanish Designer Award, presented by Elle Decor, and also earned an Honorary Mention at the Architizer Awards.
Three years later, the studio was recognized at the Filamento Born Awards Spain, as well as at the Filamento Awards for Best Product – IED Madrid 2018, and was shortlisted for the Dezeen Awards.
In 2021, Dune for LZF Lamps was awarded by NYCxDesign in the Pendant Lighting category and received the Best of the Year award from Interior Design Magazine.
In 2020, during Madrid Design Festival, Mayice presented Electric Green, a street lighting installation for MINI Electric at the CaixaForum vertical garden, reflecting on the importance of reducing CO₂ emissions.
At Casa Decor 2019, Mayice designed and produced an installation for SIMON Electric, a Spanish company with more than one hundred years of history, receiving a Special Mention for Best Ephemeral Interior Design.
