La Comunidad de Madrid es la segunda región industrial de España en términos de valor añadido bruto: más de 20.000 empresas integran al sector industrial de la región, el segundo con más peso en su economía. La participación activa de la Comunidad de Madrid en nueva edición de MDF es una muestra de su apuesta por la capacidad de transformación y generación de riqueza del diseño industrial.
La Dirección General de Promoción Económica e Industria de la Comunidad de Madrid y MDF24 reunirán a empresarios y especialistas del diseño industrial. En esta ocasión, intervendrán en el encuentro Marta Foncillas Cabeza y Jaime Martínez Muñoz.
Marta Foncillas es la fundadora de Revolución Limo, firma pionera en interiorismo sostenible y una de las diez startups que, según el Instituto Coordenadas, está liderando la innovación en la protección ambiental en España. Abogada antitrust de formación, trabajó en firmas como Uría Menéndez y Clifford Chance, entre otras, hasta que finalmente decidió dar un giro a su carrera profesional con proyectos más vanguardistas, tecnológicos y sostenibles, trabajando en Lime, la primera startup de micromovilidad urbana para su expansión por Europa. Su creciente compromiso con la sostenibilidad le lleva a fundar a finales de 2021 Revolución Limo, una firma que nace para ofrecer alternativas más sostenibles en el mundo de la arquitectura, el interiorismo y el diseño, y que está enfocada a fomentar el uso del plástico reciclado como materia prima. Este proyecto nace de una reflexión sobre la siguiente pregunta: ¿por qué consumir nuevos recursos naturales cuando podemos utilizar material recuperado?
Jaime Martínez Muñoz, Director General de Promoción Económica e Industrial del Gobierno de la Comunidad de Madrid- Consejería de Economía, cuenta con una doble Licenciatura en Economía y Administración y Dirección de Empresas por la Universidad CEU San Pablo de Madrid. Premio de Investigación San Vicente Ferrer de Economía, ha completado su formación en instituciones nacionales e internacionales, destacando CUNEF, la London School of Economics and Political Science e INSEAD. Cuenta con 9 años de experiencia en el sector privado, trabajando en empresas multinacionales. Primero como auditor del Sector Público en Grant Thornton, y posteriormente como consultor estratégico en Accenture Strategy, ejecutando proyectos de transformación digital, desarrollo de nuevos modelos de negocio, inteligencia competitiva, y capturas de eficiencia. Ha trabajado para clientes de diversos sectores, destacando telecomunicaciones, energía y administraciones públicas, y en diversas geografías, como Portugal, Reino Unido, Perú y Ecuador. Ha compaginado su trabajo colaborando como analista en medios de prensa económica, como Expansión, La Información o Negocios TV, así como en think tanks nacionales (Red Floridablanca, Instituto Juan de Mariana, Hay Derecho) e internacionales (Institute of Economic Affairs de Londres). En 2021, se adhirió al gabinete de la Consejería de Economía, Hacienda y Empleo de la Comunidad de Madrid, en calidad de asesor económico. En noviembre de 2023, fue nombrado Director General de Promoción Económica e Industrial.
The Community of Madrid is the second industrial region of Spain in terms of gross added value: more than 20,000 companies make up the region’s industrial sector, the second most important in its economy. The active participation of the Community of Madrid in the new edition of MDF is a sign of its commitment to the capacity of industrial design to transform and generate wealth.
The Directorate General of Economic Promotion and Industry of the Community of Madrid and MDF24 will bring together entrepreneurs and specialists in industrial design. On this occasion, Marta Foncillas Cabeza and Jaime Martínez Muñoz will take part in the meeting.
Marta Foncillas is the founder of Revolución Limo, a pioneering firm in sustainable interior design and one of the ten startups that, according to the Coordenadas Institute, is leading innovation in environmental protection in Spain. An antitrust lawyer by training, she worked in firms such as Uría Menéndez and Clifford Chance, among others, until she finally decided to turn her professional career around with more avant-garde, technological and sustainable projects, working in Lime, the first urban micromobility startup for its expansion throughout Europe. His growing commitment to sustainability led him to found Revolución Limo at the end of 2021, a firm that was created to offer more sustainable alternatives in the world of architecture, interior design and design, and is focused on promoting the use of recycled plastic as a raw material. This project was born from a reflection on the following question: why consume new natural resources when we can use recovered material?
Jaime Martínez Muñoz, General Director of Economic and Industrial Promotion of the Government of the Community of Madrid, holds a double degree in Economics and Business Administration from CEU San Pablo University in Madrid. He received the San Vicente Ferrer Research Award in Economics and has completed his training in national and international institutions, including CUNEF, the London School of Economics and Political Science and INSEAD. He has 9 years of experience in the private sector, working in multinational companies. First as a Public Sector auditor at Grant Thornton, and later as a strategic consultant at Accenture Strategy, executing projects of digital transformation, development of new business models, competitive intelligence, and efficiency captures. He has worked for clients in various sectors, including telecommunications, energy and public administrations, and in different geographies, such as Portugal, United Kingdom, Peru and Ecuador. He has combined his work collaborating as an analyst in the economic press, such as Expansión, La Información or Negocios TV, as well as in national and international think tanks. In 2021, he joined the cabinet of the Consejería de Economía, Hacienda y Empleo de la Comunidad de Madrid, as an economic advisor. In November 2023, he was appointed General Director of Economic and Industrial Promotion.
