Birgitte due Madsen, diseñadora y exploradora de materiales de Copenhague, compartirá ideas, visiones, opiniones y proyectos con Marisa Santamaría, investigadora, comisaria y profesora de movimientos y activismo del siglo XXI y futuros en torno al diseño, explorando la compleja relación entre el diseño y los nuevos materiales.
Birgitte Due Madsen destaca por su enfoque autónomo en muebles y esculturas. Su trabajo, con una paleta poética y geometría lúdica, refleja una meticulosa atención a la calidad. Graduada de la Real Academia Danesa de Bellas Artes, sus obras, centradas en la luz, han sido exhibidas internacionalmente. Utilizando materiales como yeso y resina, crea piezas que sorprenden con superficies suaves y reflexiones de luz. Sus objetos invitan a la interacción, revelando la sofisticación detrás de su elaboración y la belleza de sus texturas.
Fundadora Global Design & Innovation Trends Unit, Marisa Santamaría dirige la investigación “Atlas de la cultura del diseño en España” con el Ministerio de Cultura y Deporte y Madrid Design Festival, y forma parte del jurado de los Premios Nacionales del Diseño del Ministerio de Industria y Comercio, 2023-24. Analista del estudio «Diseño y hogar GENERACIÓN Z» 2023 para el Instituto Silestone de investigación y asesora en Acción Cultural Española PICE -diseño y arquitectura-, es «Design Talents and Trends Forecaster» de Maison&Objet París, profesora en diferentes universidades, y escribe sobre diseño El País, ICON Design, AD, ELLE Decoration, Diseño Interior.
Birgitte due Madsen, designer and materials explorer from Copenhagen, will share ideas, visions, opinions and projects with Marisa Santamaría, researcher, curator and professor of 21st century and future movements and activism around design, exploring the complex relationship between design and new materials.
Birgitte Due Madsen stands out for her autonomous approach to furniture and sculptures. His work, with a poetic palette and playful geometry, reflects meticulous attention to quality. A graduate of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, her works, focused on light, have been exhibited internationally. Using materials such as plaster and resin, he creates pieces that surprise with soft surfaces and light reflections. His objects invite interaction, revealing the sophistication behind their production and the beauty of their textures.
Founder of Global Design & Innovation Trends Unit, Marisa Santamaría directs the research “Atlas of design culture in Spain” with the Ministry of Culture and Sports and Madrid Design Festival, and is part of the jury of the National Design Awards of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, 2023-24. Analyst of the study «Design and home GENERATION Z» 2023 for the Silestone Research Institute and advisor on Spanish Cultural Action PICE -design and architecture-, she is «Design Talents and Trends Forecaster» of Maison&Objet Paris, professor at different universities, and writes about El País design, ICON Design, AD, ELLE Decoration, Interior Design.
