In this inaugural conference presented by Actiu, Danish architecture firm BIG (BIG Bjarke Ingels) will explore how their approach of community work, collaboration and active dialogue is transforming spaces under the concept of regeneration. João Albuquerque will talk about BIG’s most emblematic projects and how, from the reuse of existing structures to the harmonious coexistence with nature, they approach the regeneration of spaces at diverse scales, from the smallest to the largest. The importance of the coexistence of all the agents involved will be highlighted, with a special focus on sustainability and wellbeing in private and public spaces. Actiu and BIG are in this space as agents of change with an innovative approach for the benefit of people and the planet.
